About Us 

My name is Amy Hedrick and I am a former teacher with a BA in Elementary Education from Catawba College. I have experience teaching in the public classroom with grades 2-5 in the Rowan-Salisbury school system. I am currently a Title One Tutoring Specialist at East Mooresville Intermediate School in Mooresville, NC. 

I come as a package with my buddies, Charleagh and Maple. Charleagh is a CKC registered 8-year old labradoodle that loves to be on the go. She is great with children and provides relaxing pet therapy for those who need a little calm. Maple is our newest doodle pup and is full of energy. She is sure to please! 

I offer private, one hour, in-person and 40 minute zoom sessions focusing on reading, math and writing skills. I have training with the Orton Gillingham phonics program and I am comfortable preparing lessons that correspond to the NC Standard Course of Study as determined by NCDPI.

I focus on remediation to help students attain grade level mastery, retention to ensure preparation for the next academic school year and confidence building for students who are behind in academics. I am not trained in special needs. Students who have extreme behaviors or need specialized instruction based on special needs testing would benefit best from an instructor trained in working with individuals with disabilities.
